2019 BadgeWives Scholarship Recipient Honored

On May 15, 2019 our members presented Deviante Armstead with our 2019 scholarship. Deviante has aspirations of joining the FBI and BadgeWives of Tampa Bay Inc. is so very proud to offer some assistance on his journey. We wish Deviante the best in his education and his career.

The Mission of BadgeWives of Tampa Bay Inc. is to promote positive law enforcement relationships within the community, to seek community support for law enforcement, provide support for law enforcement families in need, and to encourage stronger relationships within families. This scholarship is designed to recognize students who demonstrate a similar passion for public service, and who demonstrate leadership, financial need and a desire to pursue a career in law enforcement or related fields.

We received an entry that told a story of determination and a desire to make a difference in his community that really resonated with us. Despite his circumstances and history, he found a passion in football and used it to help him succeed. This young man clearly desires to make a difference in his community through a career in criminal justice.

BadgeWives is excited to be offering a 2020 scholarship as well. Stay tuned for details!

Assistance for Injured LEOs

As you know a couple of weeks back PCSO Sgt. Stang and SPPD K9 Titan were shot in the line of duty. Our board members came together and purchased a gift card from our group for Sgt. Stang. Also, we were able to put a basket of goodies together for K9 Titan from our group […]

We are happy to hear that you are interested in becoming a member of BadgeWives of Tampa Bay Inc.  We will be happy to give you a little information about our organization. We recently became a non profit 501c3 organization this past year and welcome all Tampa Bay Area LEO wives and female officers. Our group is a little different than many of the other online LEO spouse groups. We meet up at least once a month at various locations for us ladies to have a wonderful time in person.  For example, a few of our past events included going to the movies, meal prep party, wine tasting, girls night at the range, crafting, etc. We also have exciting events arranged for the upcoming months! A big thing that we also do is get together and make things for the officers for Christmas, Easter, Thank a Police Officer Day, etc. in which those events are also kid friendly.
Finally, the most important thing that we do is be there for one another. Being a LEO spouse is something we all have in common and we all tend to experience things or go through things that a non LEO spouse would truly understand, so it’s nice being able to reach out or talk with someone who understands what you may be going through or experiencing.
As  previously stated, we are now a 501c3 organization, so if you are interested in becoming a member, we do require a $30 annual membership fee at sign up. These dues cover some of our overhead expenses and operating costs.  Please send us an email at and we will be happy to send you our quick 1 page application
